You know Ken George.
Ken is the guy who started working and making a difference long before he needed to do so. Ken is the kind of guy who keeps his promises, no matter how long it takes or how much work is involved. Ken is the guy who offers to help whenever and wherever he can, even if he won’t receive anything in return. Ken is the guy you have been hoping to elect to represent District D on the Cary Town Council.
The story of Ken George, is just as much a story about Cary, North Carolina.
Cary built Ken and in return, Ken has been working to return the favor.
What you know about Cary:
Honesty & Integrity
We know that character is forged in repetition, in living every day committed to values that may seem old fashioned or inconsequential. Nothing could be further from the truth. Ken George upholds the values of honesty and integrity in the relationships he holds, the business he conducts, the service he provides to others, and the promises he keeps. Ken’s parents knew the value of education and were concerned when he chose to pursue his passion of photography, rather than attend college. Although Ken had a real love of photography in high school and desired to pursue that dream, at age 16 he made a promise to his mother, just weeks before she passed away, that he would complete college – a promise that he fulfilled in 2011 when he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina State University.
Cary’s growth from a little-know town to the 7th largest city in the state is a testament to the ingenuity and hard work of the residents who have made this an attractive place to live, work and play. We are proud of what this city has to offer. Ken, much like Cary, has been able to grow small opportunities into large ones, beginning with his dedication to photography – founding NetSmart, Inc., and then building it into a sizable and sustainable computer and networking business over the last 20 years. Education, healthcare, business growth and opportunities – Ken knows that all of these areas must thrive in order for our quality of life in Cary to continue to improve as we grow.
Commitment to Community
Cary is a place where people care about each other and our community. We know that what we do makes a difference. Ken has been representing Cary and volunteering his time to worthy causes, both in Cary and as far away as Switzerland and Haiti since he was 16 years old. He has also turned small volunteering opportunities into leadership opportunities, a privilege he takes seriously and hopes to continue as a representative of District D. If you, also, have been involved in some aspect of civic life in Cary, it’s likely that you already know Ken.
